Blue Origin Launch Complex

Customer: Turner Construction
Description: What began as a $3.5 million design-assist contract for the flame deflector component of the launch facility evolved into a broader partnership with Blue Origin and Turner Construction Company on the development of Launch Complex 36.
Over the course of the project, more than 655 tons of structural steel were fabricated and installed across the facility. Met-Con’s scope included steel framing for the launch pad, the flame deflector insert, multiple surrounding work platforms, and the custom transport apparatus used to move rockets within the launch complex.
The project required innovative problem-solving, close collaboration with the project team, and precise execution to meet the demanding requirements of a next-generation aerospace launch facility.
